TS-1 5”JOINTMAKER’S SQUARE

Matching a square to the job is an important aspect of craftsmanship. It is particularly appreciated by those who do box work or make case goods and drawers.

Whether you're checking a drawer for squareness or the accuracy of your table saw blade, the TS-1 Jointmaker's Try Square is the perfect small square for the job. It measures 5" from heel to toe and fits in your apron pocket! It is a perfect companion square to the TS-2. The TS-1 Jointmaker's Try Square is always a favorite gift for that special woodworker or friend.

MS-2 MASTER MITER SQUARE

The MS-2 Master Miter Square is the largest of our family of miter squares and our most popular size. With a substantial 9-1/2" blade length, it is as inviting to hold as it is to use. Every shop needs an accurate reference for 45° and you simply cannot go wrong with this one.

AS-24 ADJUSTABLE ANGLE SQUARE

The AS-24 Adjustable Angle Square consists of a blade, handle and a solid brass turned knob. The blade is 24" long, satin chrome plated, one and one-half inches wide by .080" thick. The handle is solid rosewood, faced with brass wear plates which are secured with an adhesive and flush set screws. The handle is fastened to the blade in a "T" formation (similar to a draftsman's T-square). This allows you to lay out lines from the extreme right of your stock to the extreme left without flipping the square over-this eliminates the problem if drawing converging lines which occurs from the error factor of all squares. Now here is the neat part. Simply turn the square over so the brass knob is up. At first glance the square appears exactly as it did seconds ago. Now loosen the knurled knob (which has a perfectly executed Brazilian kingwood inlay in the top), and you know have an adjustable square with a full 180 degrees if infinite adjustment. The fixed 90 degree handle is now on top. What this means is that if you set the blade at 60 degrees, this square will automatically provide the complementary angle of 30 degrees! You can adjust this square to any angle you want (we recommend using a protractor head), tighten the knob and the angle is firmly secured. Flip the tool over and you have the accurate (plus or minus .006" over 24") fixed 90. Flip it back and your previously set angle is raring to go. This is two squares simultaneously!

TS-3 5”DOUBLE SQUARE

The TS-3 Double Square is a tool designed to check the edges of cut stock. It fits your apron pocket and is very handy for use at machine locations. When checking a michined edge for squareness from the power saws or the jointer, most of the blade on traditional try squares in unused. The balanced feel of the TS-3 makes it ideal for laying out lines on the end of stock. In addition, the TS-3 is a favorite square to get into those tight places which are impossible or impractical with any other square -- like checking the shoulders of a mortise and tenon. Once you have used this square, you will wonder how you previously got along without it.

SE-24 24”STRAICHT EDGE

The SE-24 Precision Straight Edge is twenty-four inches of precision ground hardened steel. Its satin chrome plating prevents humidity and the natural acids in your hands from ruining the appearance and eventually the accuracy. The SE-24 is the perfect tool for checking plane soles, sighting wear in machine castings, setting up jointers, spotting the wind in a plank, and a myriad of other uses. This tool is a beautifully made, accurate (plus or minus .002") and dependable resource for the demanding craftsman. Every shop needs one and our SE-24 is an extraordinary buy!

TB-1 5”T-BEVEL

The feel of this tool in the hand is magnificent and the function is ever nicer. The handle is wrapped in 1/16" brass. The knob is large enough to get a good grip on and threads into a sealed, dust proof nut, yet it will never interfere with the use of the tool. The blade is bushed in the handle so there is metal to metal contact when secured. The blade stays locked where you want it -- insuring utmost accuracy during the scribing and layout process. The TB-1 is designed in the tradition of the true T-bevels of yesterday. The blade is infinitely adjustable over a full 360 degrees. This tool is for all of the angles not available in fixed reference squares.

DS-1 (8:1)DOVETAIL SQUARE

The DS-1 Dovetail Square at one end has a fixed 1:8 ratio for making dovetails in brittle wood such as hard maple, kiln dried cherry, rosewood etc. This ratio is considered by many as the most elegant of ratios for combining function with beauty. The other end is square. which allows you to draw the 90 degree lines which begin at each end of the dovetail lines and continue down to the scribed line which determines the shoulders.

DS-2 (6:1)DOVETAIL SQUARE

The DS-2 Dovetail Square is identical to the DS-1 but set at a ration of 6:1 ration. This angle is appropriate for all other hardwoods where extra strength is a consideration. This dovetail allows up to 2" in length.

The TB-2 blade is hardened steel (Rockwell 54) and each blade is precision ground on both edges after the slot is punched out. The finish is satin chrome, which creates an extremely beautiful combination of materials, but you will never have to worry about it rusting or etching. Our unique friction locking mechanism employs two seated and knurled washers which bear against the blade when the knob is tightened.

MG-2 MARKING/MORTISING GAGE

The actual cut is a razor crisp, consistently clean, readable mark in all woods and is comparable to a knife slice. To use the tool as a marking gauge, simply slide one stem back until the cutter is recessed into the fence (we've milled a bevel for this purpose). You can accurately set the cutter distance from the fence by using your pocket rule (of course we are partial to our SR-6 Pocket Rule...). One handy feature of the MG-2 is the accuracy. Dimensions as tight as 1/64th" are easily attainable. Notice the locking knobs are located on the bottom of the tool, this simple design creates a tool which is comfortable, and a joy to hold and use. The 5-1/2" long fence, combined with the contoured top, allows for dead certain registration with your lumber. It just works great. For mortise and tenon layout, both stems are used. Let's say you need to make a 1/2" wide tenon. Measure and lock your first cutter (A small nylon pad buried in the fence prevents the brass locking screws from damaging the stems). Set the second cutter 1/2" away from the first. You will be delighted how easy this process is. Now check this out: by firmly grabbing the two stems on the back side of the fence, you can loosen both locking knobs and slide the fence into a new position without adjusting your original 1/2" setting! The maximum marking distance from the fence is a generous eight inches. Both faces of the MG-2 fence are inset with 360 brass alloy wear plates. There is a reason. Certain layout conditions call for a reference line which is not scribed into your work, an erasable pencil mark is preferable. The MG-2 accepts a pencil in the far end of the stems, a handy and practical feature.

DG-2 DEPTH GAGE

Depth gages are very handy shop aids and have a myriad of useful functions. Obvious uses include depth readings in blind situations and all rabbet and dado depth measurements, and is particularly useful in conjunction with router setups. Your DG-2 will also perform similar functions as a hook rule.
Your depth gage is a completely different tool with the addition of a cutter. By attaching the hardened steel cutting disc to the bottom of the depth stem, (the bevel on the cutter faces the sole of the tool) and adjusting zero (by repeating the process described above) to accommodate the thickness of the cutter, you have a fantastic marking gage. If you want to scribe a line exactly 2" from the edge of a board, slide the stem until 2" is in line with the readout sleeve, lock in place and off you go. It works and cuts exactly like our marking gages, razor clean marks, right where you want them.

TB-3 12”SLIDING BEVEL

The two biggest problems with bevels involve the inability of the blade to lock securely and the locking mechanism, which interferes with the registration of the handle to your work. Neither of these problems occurs with our bevels. From a manufacturing standpoint, our bevels are the most complicated tools we make, and once you get one in your hand, you'll see why. All of our hard work makes your work easy! Each bevel employs a hardened steel (Rockwell 54), satin chromed blade. Our unique friction locking mechanism employs two seated and knurled washers which bear against the blade when the knob is tightened. It stays put until you change it. Every shop needs some sort of device to deal with non-reference angles. In our opinion you won't find a better bevel!

TT-1 TURNING TREE

The TT-1 Turning Tree is made in nine sections. Individual sections can be removed and kept in your apron pocket as quick references until your turning job is completed. We recommend you don't place this precision tool on the outboard end of your lathe while you turn, lest it vibrate onto the floor. All sections nest together, sturdy as a tree, awaiting your calipers. The major diameter of each section is permanently marked with the diameters of all four cylinders which make up that particular section. You'll know at a glance which section contains the diameter to match the drill you used to make the mortise. Additionally, the TT-1 Turning Tree sections can be used to size existing holes. Simply grab the section which closely resembles the hole you wish to measure and drop the narrow end into the hole until you find the size which fits. This can be extremely helpful in repairing antiques or making replacement parts.

MS-3 22 1/2°MITER SQUARE

If you thought the simple miter joint was tough, try making octagons!  Each cut represents a potential error that will be multiplied by 16 when the frame or box is assembled! You simply cannot afford to guess when that many sides are involved. The MS-3 22-1/2 Degree Miter Square has a blade length of 7-1/4". It is perfect for all octagonal work and other uses which include inlayed floors, frames, planter boxes, etc.

TS-1.5 6 1/2”TRY SQUARE

Matching a square to the job is an important aspect of craftsmanship. The TS-1.5 Mid-Sized Try Square is the "middle brother" of our squares. With a blade length of 6-1/2" from heel to toe, it is sized exactly between the TS-1 and the TS-2. Consequently, it is particularly appreciated by those who do box work or make case goods and drawers.

MS-1.5 MITER SQUARE

If the MS-2 is too big and the MS-1 too small, the MS-1.5 Mid-Sized Miter Square is for you. This is also a great companion square to the TS-1.5 Mid-Sized Try Square. With an 8-1/4" blade length, this is not a common size tool and therefore has become quite popular in the marketplace. For “gap free” miters, try this square on for size.

BP-18 BEVEL PROTRACTOR

The BP-18 Bevel Protractor uses an eighteen inch indicator. Made from the same hardened and plated steel as the protractor plate, this pivot arm contains the hairline cursor (beveled to avoid parallax errors) by which you set angles. The length of this arm will allow you to layout many of your angles directly without the need of transferring to another bevel. This saves you time, improves your accuracy and is particularly useful in setting up table saw miter gages!

SR-36 36”BENCH RULE

If you’re using a yardstick in your shop you may want to consider upgrading to one of the world’s finest 36" rules. This is the rule for designing or laying out large pieces. Also works great for setting up a pair of trammel points.

SA-1 SCRATCH AWL

Each rosewood handle is flawlessly hand turned. The balance of this tool in your hand is unlike any you have ever experienced. The control of this awl, (somewhat like a conductor’s baton) allows you to lay down lines in the tightest situations; like making dovetails, mortise and tenons or tracing profiles. The 4-1/2" hardened steel blade is long and narrow, terminating in a very fine point. The SA-1 Scratch Awl is designed to complement its big brother, the SA-2. It is great for starting screw holes and making divots for brad point drills. The handle comes to rest in the palm of your hand, the point acting as an extension of your index finger. This immobilizes your wrist and allows you to transfer “weight” to the point. As a safety feature, the brass ferrule completely encapsulates the tang and directs all downward forces to the minor diameter of the handle.

DC-40 DIVIDING COMPASS

You can adjust the angle of any point or drawing tool to the work surface. When the drawing point trails the leg of the compass, it’s possible to draw large arcs and circles with only one finger touching the tool! This feature allows you to draft circles and arcs with unprecedented ease.

BL-9 BENCH LEVEL

From a solid, 4-lb piece of 360 brass alloy, we've fashioned a level housing that negates the traditional problems of warping in a wood-bodied level. The precision vials have a tolerance of 300 seconds on a 2mm scale plus or minus 30 seconds. Soda-lime glass windows, buffered and sealed on each side by "O" rings, protect the plumb and 45-degree vials from typical shop hostilities. The top vial, which reads level, is adjustable. The plumb vial and the 45 degree vial never need adjusting. The sole of the BL-9 has a recess cut out to facilitate leveling pipes and non-flat work.

CT-1 SQUEVEL

The Squevel handle is milled from a solid 1-1/2 lb. chunk of #360 half hard, tempered brass. Unlike many of our other tools which are constructed around a wood core, this is a solid metal handle with a wood inlay. The brass stock is precisely milled on a computer driven mill. The brass is cleaned and prepped to receive the wood inlays, two matched pieces per side. The handle is now ready to receive the fixed blade which is initially "frozen" in place with the commercial cyanoacrylate adhesive and then mechanically locked with three rivets. From a manufacturing standpoint, what happens next is fascinating to watch. We temporarily lock the adjustable bevel blade in place in the handle. Then the entire tool is placed into a fixture where the butt of the handle is profiled in two planes. This creates a terrific-looking tool. The rest of the process is detailing and finishing, all of the little extras which make our tools stand out from the pack. It's accurate to within 0.002" over the 6-1/2" blade length, inside and out. Use it for all of your squaring needs; it's made to last and should be a tireless workhorse for you and future woodworkers.Buried into the solid brass handle is a small bevel. This small bevel is perfect for laying out dovetails, angled tenons, and is particularly useful for setting angles on machines with narrow throats, such as band saw tables and scrollsaw tables. The bevel blade length is 3-7/8" in a 90° setting.Locking the bevel to the handle is one of our nicely turned, infilled brass knobs.Besides the penny, and some gorgeous rosewood or Juara™ wood, each of these special commemorative tools will be sequentially engraved with an edition number. This tool was produced in 1993.

AS-3 ADJUSTABLE TRY SQUARE

The small size of the AS-3 Adjustable Try Square does many things very well. Like the AS-14, the inside rule is precisely aligned with the inside face of the handle, and the outside rule is accurately registered with the back of the handle. The blade measures 3" on the outside and 2" on the inside rule. It is perhaps the finest tool yet invented for setting router bit depths. Set it on your router base, spin the bit to the height of your choice indicated on the rule and off you go. Another terrific function is the ability o get into confined spaces. Small drawers, scaled work, box making, model making, and joint work are but just a sampling of the applications for this new and exciting square.

AS-14 ADJUSTABLE TRY SQUARE

The AS-14 is a fantastic size square and allows full access of the 12" blade on the inside rule and reads to 14" on the outside rule. This size square will allow layout and measurement on lumber up to 12" in width. Most important, the accuracy is plus or minus .001" over the length of the blade, making this the most accurate square we have ever produduced. In essence, this is a 12" hook rule.

BS-5 5”TRANSFER BEVEL SQUARE

The transfer bevel can accommodate any angle setting from 20° to 180°.Certain applications have been screaming for this tool. My favorite is transferring an angle from a drawing to a board or machine setup. Sometimes I will fuss around perfecting an angle on my table saw and desire to transfer this angle, for future reference, to a sheet of paper without the bother of figuring out what the angle is. Now I can!The BS-5 transfer bevel is handy for small scale work and fits easily in an apron pocket. It measures 5-1/4" on the outside and 4-1/2" on the inside reference edge.

CT-2 SQUEVELEVEL

We start with a solid chunk of 360 half-hard brass and precision mill it into an I-beam (one of the strongest configurations devised) to form the foundation of our Squevelevel handle. Two flawless wood cheeks fill the handle and handy finger grips grace each side. The handle has a solid brass bevel blade inset into its back and a cutaway near the locking knob, providing increased access to the bevel blade. Locking the bevel to the handle is one of our impeccably turned, wood-infilled brass knobs. The bevel blade length is 4-1/2".

Now I can!The BS-10 transfer bevel measures 10" on the outside and 9" on the inside reference edge. It will fit the bill for most large jobs.

SR-1M METER RULE

This is a fully flexible, one meter rule with metric graduations on one side and English on the other. This is the rule we use in our PT-1 Precision Trammel Bar and have become fond of as a long measuring tool in the shop. Whether you use this rule to make your own trammel bar or as a stand alone full flex rule, it is a winner.

PT-1 PRECISION TRAMMEL SET/POINTS/BAR

The trammel head without the cursor is always the pivot point (the point you use as a center for your arc), this is the pivot trammel. The trammel with the cursor is always the scribing point, called the scribing trammel. Loosen both trammel points. Lock the scribing trammel head at exactly four inches on the trammel bar rule. Place the scribing trammel point at the FIVE INCH mark on your six inch pocket rule. Now slide the pivot trammel point to exactly the ONE INCH mark on your 6" rule and lock in place. You have just calibrated the PT-1 Precision Trammel Set to exactly four inches. (This technique avoids using the end of the rule, which is bad practice.) As long as you do not change the pivot trammel setting, all future settings of the scribing trammel are accurate. Anytime you sharpen the points, use a pencil, or change the pivot point setting, you will need to recalibrate the scribing point if you wish to use the trammel rule. For those of you using the metric side, repeat the above process using a 10cm spread of the points.

The blade is an astonishing 0.20mm thick which is only eight thousandths of an inch! Once cut, the wood feels and appears like it was hand planed. We guarantee you have not used a saw that works or cuts as well as this professional Dozuki back saw.

CT-6 HAND DRILL

The CT-6 Hand Drill is designed to drill circular holes. As a design theme, there is not one curve on any of the three handles which is not a true arc segment. The body of the tool repeats this circular theme with three interlocking rings. All negative spaces in the large gear and the central hub of the body mirror the handle designs. The CT-6 Hand Drill is a very harmonious proposition and creates a commanding presence in the hand, inspiring all who come in contact with its graceful beauty.

JS-3 KATABA SAW

A very popular furniture making saw, our Kataba has 20 teeth per inch dispersed over nine inches. Overall length is 21.5". Because this is not a back saw, blade thickness is 0.40mm or sixteen thousandths (0.016") of an inch. The Kataba saw is the tool of choice when you need cuts deeper than possible with a Dozuki. Perfect for tenons and larger dovetails as well as flush cutting and general-purpose sawing needs

MP-8 MACHINE PROTRACTOR

The MP-8 Machine Protractor is a robust, unique and accurate measuring instrument. We believe the MP-8 will quickly become one of your most used tools and a cherished shop companion.

BR-6 6”ZERO GLARE POCKET SAW

The 6" Bench Rule comes with a solid brass hook and screw that can easily be attached thereby transforming each rule into a hook rule that allows you to read dead accurate length measurements from the end of your stock without any hassles. It doesn't get any easier than this! The BR-6 is simply the most useful rule you will ever have in your shop. Laser etched grads on aluminum mean an accurate and easy to read ruler that will last forever.

JS-2 RYOBA RIP/CROSSCUT SAW

The Ryoba has crosscut teeth on one edge and rip teeth on the opposite edge, making perfect economical sense. Our Ryoba has a cutting length of 9" and is perfectly sized for furniture or cabinetmakers, and also works well for finish carpenters. The crosscut saw has 15 teeth per inch, the rip saw 8 teeth per inch. Blade thickness is a robust 0.49mm (0.0195"). Overall length is approximately 24". A great saw when you are not cutting joints or miters.

CS-6 COMBINATION SQUARE

The CS-6 Combination Square has the same classic cast silicone brass head with rosewood inlays. The head is machined to a tolerance of .002" over the length of the blade. All of the blades are photochemically etched in satin chrome plated steel. This Bridge City exclusive uses only 32nd and 16th graduations on opposite edges. This feature lets you flip the square from left to right and still use the same measurement system. This is an incredible improvement and will create fewer mistakes.

82°COUNTERSINK

82-Degree Countersink's functionality whatsoever, this cosmetic flaw forced us to reclassify this product as a blem.A single flute countersink will only make PERFECTLY concentric countersinks - it's the multiple flutes which cause chatter. This is the best woodworking countersink we have ever used.

JM-1 JOINTMAKER

Layout your joints (or cuts) traditionally with a marking knife, awl or a pencil. Insert the appropriate guide block in the JM-1 JointMaker body and tighten. Now position the JM-1 JointMaker on your stock and tighten. Saw away, it's that simple! The JM-1 JointMaker guides your saw exactly where you want without slop or wobble. Your sawing rhythm becomes so relaxing and accurate you won't believe the results. All you control is depth of cut, which means you need to pay a little attention and the JM-1 JointMaker does the rest!

PG-10 DOUBLE PROFILE GAGE

Folded close to 90 degrees, the PG-10 Profile Gage will take 4 1/2" deep profiles! Imagine taking a reading of a model boat hull or deep crown molding with this! For simple moldings and depth readings, square the wire fingers of your profile gage by "profiling" a flat surface. Next, either push the tool against your profile or, for extremely delicate profiles it is easier to work the wires to the profile from the backside. The pressure bar keeps the fingers in place to allow tracing. In either case, the results are fantastic. It's important to note that with our articulated profile gages, you do not push your work into the fingers but instead push the steel fingers into the profile.

SS-1 SCROLL SAW SQUARE

Setting a scroll saw to cut squarely is a chancy proposition - until now. This beautiful small brass square will fit in the throat of any scroll saw. Ninety degree leg is 1.85". Works great 45° too. Really shines for all small scale work. Accurate to within .001", all angles.

BR-12 12”ZERO GLARE BENCH RULE

Each 6" and 12" Bench Rule comes with a solid brass hook and screw that can easily be attached thereby transforming each rule into a hook rule that allows you to read dead accurate length measurements from the end of your stock without any hassles. It doesn't get any easier than this! The BR-6 and BR-12 are simply the finest rules you will ever have in your shop. Laser etched grads mean they will never rub off or dull.

DS-6 DOUBLE SQUARE

Double squares are handy tools simply because they do not contain a 45° leg. The head of the DS-6 Double Square is cast from silicon brass, a durable alloy that wears better than brass and does not rust in humid environments. The DS-6 Double Square is precisely milled, creating a tool with an accuracy limit of less than 0.002" over the length of a fully extended blade. Once milled, both legs are precisely fitted with rosewood inlay. The 6" (3/4" width) blade is made from stainless steel and is satin-chromed for excellent readability. The graduations (1/8", 1/16", 1/32", 1/64") are photo-chemically etched and meet or exceed all U.S. and British accuracy standards for rules.

MS-96 PRECISION MEASURING STICK

Four brass locking knobs are infilled with rosewood, matching our other tools, the fifth is solid brass for purposes of engraving. The nylon tipped locking studs prevent scoring of the sections and mate with threaded brass bushings-a nice feature for you and your heirs. Finally, the nickle-plated tips (contact points are a scant 0.030" wide) are easily replaceable when your tool takes an inevitable dive to the floor.

PG-5 PROFILE GAGE

The PG-5 (or any section of the PG-10 or PG-13) is particularly useful for seating hardware. Chisel the pocket for a hinge or lock set, take a "profile depth" reading and you will easily see the high spots needing further work. Another favorite application is custom drawer liners or tool racks. Profile your favorite tools and transfer to your stock to cut the profile away.

PG-13 TRIPLE PROFILE GAGE

The PG-13 allows for extremely large arcs or profiles that until today were not possible with a profile gage. These tools are great for modeling, architectural details, furniture making, floor and ceiling cutouts and a myriad of other applications where a clean cut profile spells the difference between craftsmanship and slop.

CT-7 PRECISON LOW ANGLE BLOCK PLANE

From tip to toe, bottom to top, functionality was the driving criterion for this design. The front knob is smooth to touch and can be used as a finger rest of one-handed use or as a knob for two-handed applications. The curvature of the handle allows hands of all sizes to comfortably use this tool without compromises. The sides are free of intersecting protrusions allowing either to be a reference for side cutting applications. The rosewood or ebony infills are a final touch, creating what may be our finest tool to date.

PB-1 PALM BRACE

Combination drilling/countersinking is equally fun and impressive with the PB-1 Palm Brace. It’s very easy to accurately control depth so Flathead screws look perfect. With a single drill/countersink bit, you’ll be able to seat #4-12 Flathead screws with ease. (Single flute countersinks work great in wood and non-ferrous metals.)Driving screws with the PB-1 Palm Brace will “charm your socks off”. Finally, here’s a tool where you can “feel” the exact torque needed to do sensitive work, a really big deal with small brass screws. No more stripped screws, no more broken screws. Once you use the PB-1 Palm Brace to install hardware you will find a traditional screwdriver awkward! Screwdriver bits are available in a myriad of styles and sizes. We offer the most common bits needed in a wood shop including the popular square drive bit.

CT-8 20°BLOCK PLANE

Functionality was the driving criteria for this plane design. The front knob is smooth to the touch and can be used as a finger rest for one-handed use or as a knob for two-handed applications. It also serves as the lock for the adjustable throat. The curvature of the handle allows hands of all sizes to comfortably use this tool without compromises. The sides are free of intersecting protrusions allowing either to be a reference for side cutting applications. The rosewood or ebony infills are a unique final touch.

TITANIUM NITRIDE COATED PROFILE SCRAPERS

It is difficult to accurately make perfectly round profiles from square stock using router bits. Ther eis always a telltale sign the profile was "router-made" which denies the curious the wonderful expeience of feeling a "true" shape. Work that looks round, but feels like an emerging four-leaf clover, is amateurish and avoidable. These scrapers are uniquely designed to help you do profiling with the least amount of effort. Each radius profile corresponds to a common cove (core box) or quarter-round router bit and will allow you to "true" round profiles when worked around an imperfect shape. They are designed in such a way that when held approximately 20 degrees off of perpendicularity to your stock, you profile with a true circular shape, matching your intent. Beads and coves are now effortlessly dressed compared to sanding. Each of these scraper profiles is precisely cut by CNC machines from 0.032" hardened spring steel. After profiling, the face of each scraper is lapped creating a mirror-like surface.

CS-18 18”COMBINATION SQUARE

All graduations are chemically etched and black filled against a satin chrome plated background—they are easy to read and you should have no difficulties with clarity. The 18 inch Imperial blade is unique—there is a metric centering rule on one side, and an Imperial centering rule on the other. Imperial grads in 1/32" are on the other two edges. Finding center with the metric blade is WAY easier than using Imperial. Second, with the blade locked at the 9” mark, the tool can be used as a hook rule but it also allows you to make yourself more familiar with metric equivalents. (The difficulty people have with metric is estimating—we know when something is approximately 3" long for example. Most don’t have a clue how to estimate 76 mm). The other benefits (divide 13-13/16” in thirds vs dividing 350.8 by 3) and other basic math operations that are a major source of error can be avoided with this blade.

ST-4 MITER STITCH

This package consists of eight anodized aluminum clamping pads. When correctly clamped on opposing sides of the miter seam, an inexpensive clamp will allow you to close the joint perfectly. It’s that easy. The Miter Stitch® is designed to clamp 90° miters or 45° miters.

PD-11 PROPORTIONAL DIVIDER

The stainless steel pivot mechanism is a “sliding pivot” that positively indexes to the various holes in the divider arms with stainless steel locking screws. This design feature makes it impossible for the tool to give you misleading results. The accuracy of the tool is derived from the CNC machined holes and the adjustable points (an easy factory adjustment).

MG-4 MARKING GAGE

The MG-4 body is CNC turned from solid 360 brass and is designed to fit hands of all sizes. Once turned, it is CNC milled to create the unique profile for holding the steel rub collars needed for curved scribing. The body is an elegant form that perfectly compliments the function. You will immediately appreciate the weight of this tool as you scribe straight or curved lines. It’s one of those tools that always feels ready to work—the hallmark of a great tool. Now you can accurately layout curved tenons and many other joints where curves play a prominent role in the design or function.

PG-27 PANTOGRAPH

There are 3D pantographs used for creating multiple copies of sculptures and other forms to avoid the tedium of producing work in quantity. Today’s copier machine is a direct descendant of the first pantograph which was used to duplicate written documents, then paintings, typefaces and hundreds of other practical uses as time progressed. Pantographs were used extensively for minting, engraving and other tasks where images needed to be reduced for reproductive purposes. Historically, the pantograph was a very important tool and because the principles were Euclidean, it has likely been around for centuries. It is known that Leonardo da Vinci employed a pantograph to transfer his drawings to canvas. The PG-27 Pantograph was designed as an enlarging pantograph only because the vast majority of the needs in a woodshop are for enlarging existing images.

HP-1 12°LOW ANGLE BLOCK PLANE

The HP-1 is 6-1/2" in length, approximately 1-1/2" in width, and the cutting edge is approximately 1-1/4". Overall height is just over 2". The HP-1 Precision 12° Block Plane is the perfect tool for planing hardwoods or softwoods and cut end grain.

HP-2 20°BLOCK PLANE

The HP-2 is 6-1/2" in length, approximately 1-1/2" in width, and the cutting edge is approximately 1-1/4". Overall height is just over 2". The HP-2 Precision 20° Block Plane is the perfect tool for planing hardwoods or softwoods and is perhaps the most used plane in the shop.

JS-4 FLUSH CUT SAW

The JS-4 works perfectly for cutting back protruding joinery including; dovetails, dowel joints, mortise and tenons and much more. There is ZERO set to the fine teeth (32/inch) and therefore it is almost impossible to score or scratch your reference surface. We do not believe you will find a better performing or easier to use flush cut saw anywhere. The JS-4 cuts on the PULL stroke and is extremely fast cutting. You have to use this saw to believe it.

JS-5 6”DOZUKI SAW

This is an identical saw to the JS-1 at half the length. For uber precise and critical cuts, this is your saw of choice. Because the stroke is shorter, it allows you more control. This saw is highly recommended for the cuts above and for those making smaller scale work such as boxes, containers, and thin stock.

CT-9 CROWNING PLANE

Milled from solid steel, the double dovetailed sole of the CT-9 features an adjustable throat and is ground true for decades of use.
Cutting perfectly centered crowns is quite easy with a properly adjusted fence. This dramatic visual element of the tool performs flawlessly. Cast from silicon brass, the fence is powder-coated and then dressed to reveal the plane profile motif. It is very striking and worthy of a collector quality plane. The removable fence travels on two steel rods and is locked in place with our trademark brass knobs that are infilled with either rosewood or ebony.

AMP-6i ANGLE MASTER PRO 6i

The concept of the ANGLE MASTER PRO 6i is straightforward trigonometry. Your 6" caliper becomes an adjustable hypotenuse of a triangle with two identical adjacent legs. Reading inches (.001" increments), there are 6,000 possible angle settings over a 90-degree quadrant. This provides accuracy exceeding one minute (5,400 minutes = 90 degrees). Using metric divisions, (.01 mm increments), there are 15,240 angle settings over a 90-degree quadrant. Either choice will provide accurate results previously attainable by much more expensive means, which typically are not portable.

HP-4 MINI CHAMFER PLANE

The HP-4 Chamfer Plane is an adjustable throat, low angle plane milled from a solid billet of 360 brass alloy. The iron is A2 steel lapped, cyrogenically treated and hardened to RC 60-62. The solid brass fences are facd with rosewood rails sliding on stainless steel guides. The overall length with the fences attached is 5". The cap iron has a rosewood infill.

HP-3 MINI LOW ANGLE BLOCK PLANE

With an overall length of just under 4", and a cutting width just under 1", the HP-3 is an amazing tool for thinner edges and flush trimming. Featuring an adjustable throat and a very fine blade adjustment mechanism (36 threads per inch), this small plane has what it takes to become one of your favorites. The iron is cryogenically treated and hardened from A2 tool steel to Rc 60-62, the back is lapped to a RMS .5 finish, and it is ready to use out of the box. The body is precisely milled out of 360 brass alloy, as is the plane iron cap creating a weight and balance to the tool that simply invites use.

CT-10 SMOOTHING PLANE

The CT-10 features a lacquered, “four finger” sculpted rosewood handle free from the visual interruptions typically created by the spine bolt. (Most plane handles do not reflect today’s ergonomic data. Our handle is perfect for all hand sizes.) We have built this entire handle around a turned 3/8" diameter stainless steel spine that is permanently fixed to the base plate and sole — none of which is visible to the naked eye. The results are not only unbelievably strong and heirloom functional, but beautiful as well. The front handle is hand turned around a solid brass ferrule that also works as the adjustable throat locking knob. It’s raised off the sole to ensure your fingers have plenty of holding space. Again, there are no visible screws or bolts to hinder the lines of this flawlessly executed turning.

FC-1 FLUSHING CHISEL

The FC-1 Flushing Chisel makes cleaning unintentional glue excess in joinery a breeze. Additionally, it can really make a difference in cutting dowels, dovetails, tenons, and plugs perfectly flush with the surface. You typically would use the FC-1 Flushing Chisel to “score” or undercut a protruding wood member so when you used a plane for the final flush cut, you will have ZERO tear-out. It is entirely possible for smaller protrusions to be flush cut by using the FC-1 Flushing Chisel alone.

TB-6 T-BEVEL

The locking mechanism is true and works almost effortlessly. For transferring angles, lightly tighten the blade, pick up your angle and then lock the blade in place. The tapered and knurled brass locking knob is easily gripped and will please you with its graceful appearance. This knob fits perfectly between the thumb and index finger – a short travel to tighten will have you on your way with confidence that the blade will stay put! The precisely ground 7" blade is machined from steel and subsequently hardened and satin-chromed for zero glare use.

CT-11 12°LOW ANGLE SMOOTHING PLANE

The CT-11 12º Low Angle Smoothing Plane is made to be used and used hard. It’s an heirloom tool to be appreciated by not only yourself but your children’s children. The CT-11 tips the scales at five and a half pounds, and because of the extremely low attack angle of the iron, this astonishing tool will surpass all expectations for ultra fine performance and appearance.

FR-1 FOLDING RULER&CALIPER

When setting up a saw and other woodworking machines, you need a rule that will read from right to left. Few woodworkers relish using a left to right ruler upside down for setting their table saw fence – the FR-1 is the perfect right-to-left reading rule. Flip the FR-1 180 degrees and your 12" left-to-right ruler is ready for use. This is incredibly handy and much more accurate than using a tape measure. The FR-1 also features a small, handy centering rule. Use this rule to find dead center on stock up to 5" in width without using any math. Align your stock so the same measurement is aligned with the two outside edges and the rule points to center.

JS-6 CROSSCUT SAW

All of the Japanese saws made in Japan for Bridge City feature blades with a golden hue. This color appears during the heat treating process and is normally ground off to reveal the traditional silver color of steel. We insist that it not be ground off so you know the blades are properly tempered.

ECONOMAKI LOW ANGLE SMOOTHER

The innovative cap iron/chip breaker (patent pending) "loads" the cutting edge with more force that it will encounter in use and adds mass directly behind the cutting edge which dampens vibration, making the Economaki Low Angle Smoother one of the finest low angle planes ever made.

CT-12 40°BENCH PLANE

The CT-12 features an articulated iron cap (patent in process) that looks and works differently than any other iron cap or double iron assembly. This uniquely hinged device “pre-loads” the cutting edge with a force greater than any resistance encountered during use. In addition, the mass spanning the entire bevel of the iron deadens vibration, which provides for much smoother cutting and helps prolong edge life. The articulated iron cap also functions as an ideal chip breaker (which helps minimize grain tear-out) and eliminates the hassle of taking apart a double iron when sharpening is required. No shavings will wedge under this chip breaker.

HP-5 MINI BLOCK PLANE

The HP-5 is suitable for use on all extremely hard woods like cocobolo, ebony, most other exotics and in all cases where grain switchback is obvious.

HP-6 MINI MULTI-PLANE

The HP-6 Mini Multi-Plane functions as a small plane system featuring interchangeable soles and mated, self-indexing irons. The HP-6 body is designed to accept precisely fitted irons so lateral adjustments are not required or needed.

At the heart of the VP-60 Variable Pitch Bench Plane is a robust A2 steel iron, hardened to Rc 60-62, cryogenically tempered, precisely lapped and sharpened to 29° (25° primary bevel, 4° micro-bevel). This iron is ready to use out of the box. The VP-60 iron nests to a frog assembly (patent pending) that pivots from 30° to 60°. This provides for a full 60° of attack angles; 30° thru 60° with the iron bevel down, and 60° thru 90° with the iron bevel up. With a 60° range, the VP-60 truly becomes a pitch perfect plane, featuring every attack angle ever needed, including 30° the lowest attack angle we have ever seen.

HG-1 HONING GUIDE

With the traditional “A-Frame” design that lets the user adjust the cutting edge by turning the thumbscrew in the back, our HG-1 Honing Guide is one of the most precise and easily adjustable Honing Guides on the market. Simply square the edge of the plane iron or chisel with the sliding "T-Square", extend the iron out to your sharpening stone, and tighten the clamp knob. You are now ready to fine tune the angle with the rear micro adjustment knob.

SUG-1 SET-UP GAGE

The Set Up gauge comes marked with 20, 25, 30, and 35 degree angles. Once the blade is clamped into the HG-1 to an angle close to what you want on the Set-Up Gauge, you can fine tune the angle with the precise rear knob. Check the squareness of the cutting edge with the built-in T-square. The HG-1 will handle blades up to 2-3/8" wide. Now you can smoothly sharpen your blade through all of the grits you need. If you desire a micro-bevel on the edge, simply turn the rear wheel. No other blade adjustments necessary. One revolution of the knob adjusts the blade angle just under 1 degree.
