I thought that they would only be toys. When I got them, I changed my mind and put them to work in small-scale situations. I build wooden canoes.
Love the ability to use pencil or pin and to be able to easily offset from center. Well made, looks good, and works. Much better than other options I’ve tried.
I purchased two of the MMS-Kit Mini Miter Squares Kits, one for myself and one for a very good friend who helps me a lot. As usual, it is made exceptionally well, with good finishing and is useful to me for small scale projects. It should last a very long time.
These squares are well made (normal for Bridge City) and quite attractive. I got the black version. They are nice additions to the shop. Please make a larger pair Bridge City so I can order those too!
The HP-8 mini block plane is a useful tool for model ship builders for planing wood planking strips to a uniform thickness. It takes up less space and makes less mess than a powered thickness sander.
Been having fun with the chopstick master, the design feels sturdy and purposeful. Reading the manual, I still couldn't quite figure it out, my first couple pairs were terrible, then i realized that the blanks were a bit long and when I locked it into place with the pin it was bowing. I'm not very experienced with wood work so it was a learning curve. I think more online videos with more up close shots that were a little slower and showing each step would be beneficial. Maybe a QR code in the manual sending you to the video would be helpful as well. It is a lot of fun and my hope is to laser engrave them and 3d print some custom boxes for them. Cheers.
Not very often do you find tools that excel in both workflow and aesthetic. This MMS kit does just that. From the packaging, to the depth of design, to the obvious build quality these are soon to be a desire for every avid tool collector.
Okay, so, I tried buying a less expensive "knock off", but you know what they say about cheap being expensive? Yeah, that. It didn't work worth a damn and the results were poor. I bought the authentic Bridge City Tools kerfmaker and not only does it work like a dream but it's also beautifully finished. Worth the price. Lesson learned.
The service team sorted out my delivery charges again as the website generates a very high price. Arrived within a few days. Delightful to use.
I bought this Plane and I really like it. I'm not a professional wood worker, I'm just getting started but I was really surprised at the weight and heft of this (fits in the palm of your hand) small little plane. The fit and finish along with the high quality make it top notch in my books. I'm very excited to have this plane and if it works as good as it looks and feels they have a terrific winner on their hands. I'm new to woodworking but I'm really happy to have it as one of my finishing tools. It is solidly built and the fit and finish are just outstanding. Give this tool a shot if your looking for good quality tools, you can't go wrong.
Haven’t had a chance to use it extensively yet, so will rate performance later. First impression however is - Wow - very solidly built & gorgeous to boot!

Haven’t had a chance to use it yet, I received it as a Christmas Gift but I’m really looking forward to using it. Solidly constructed out of high quality materials. Very well thought out and they look fantastic, I will update this after I’ve actually had a chance to use them. I did check them against my machinist squares that I know are dead-on and they were perfect. Give these a shot, I don’t believe you would be making a mistake buying them. These ave very “high quality” and I’m sure I’m going to love using them. As with my other BCTW tools I have, I love all of them. Give these guys a try, you won’t be sorry.

I have one of the HP-8 Block Planes and bought another one foe a good friend. I believe he will muse the heck out of this plane
I have other tools to do what this does but the now just sit in the drawer. This one is the best thought out tool. And the quality is top.
This is the most well-built, over-engineered chopstick maker one could ever ask for.
- The kit is packed like nothing I have ever bought before, the boxing alone is a masterpiece.
- The quality and finish of the hardware is second to none.
- The engineering and thought that went into the design, make the results repeatable and amazingly consistent (even if you are not a master woodworker)
If you have read this far, you should buy it. You will not be disappointed.
These are awesome, love the depth stops and they are so easy to adjust and get going. I had one and ended up getting three more
Despite it's size, the tool is of noticeable quality and performs perfectly. Couldn't recommend more if you're in need of a very small and very accurate miter square.
