Absolutely stunning piece it’s a work of art
This gets used daily in my workshop, i dont have a jointer and i love using this to flatten the edges of my boards. It also will absolutley tackle end grain like its nothing. Beautiful and functional.
This plane is incredible!!! Highly recommend this plane. Craftsmanship and materials are top notch. The micro adjustment is amazing. I love the multiple blades and the skids. This plane changed my view of planing wood!!!
I am so pleased with my HP-12 PLANER I got to play with it yesterday and oh wow it's everything you could want from a futuristic plane they have pulled out all the stops and now I'm addicted to their tools so saving for the next one and thank you BRIDGE CITY TOOL!
A true “Jack of all Trades” hand plane. Pleasing to the eye and filled with innovative approaches that not only make things easier but also better. This plane will take wafer thin shavings off of hardwood Maple, as well as American Black Walnut or Cherry. But with a quick blade change it will take down the thickness of timber as effectively as my scrub plane. The craftsmanship is flawless as well. This plane is prepared to go to work out of the box,. The Irons even have a micro bevel on them! The iron holds an edge for quite a long time. Yes, I would recommend this plane to anyone interested in woodworking with hand tools. They will not be disappointed.
Haven’t had a chance to use it extensively yet, so will rate performance later. First impression however is - Wow - very solidly built & gorgeous to boot!

This tool is a work of art. So glad I finally decided to go for it. It’s so well designed and gets a lot of attention on the job site. My third tool from Bridge City, they never disappoint.

Welcome to the workshop of ferz.woodworkThe HP-12 Dual Angle Bench Plane, designed by John Economaki, founder of Bridge City Tool Works, is unlike any other smoother - past or present. This lightweight plane is one of the most versatile and usable planes.Included with the HP-12 are two irons for a total of four distinctly different grind angles. The 42 degree attack angle is for low angle work. The 47 degree attack angle is for standard work. The 60 degree attack angle is for difficult grains and a scrub grind is included and designed to be used for quick cross grain flattening of wavy or difficult grained stock.
