CS-6v2 Combination Square Brass

The CS-6v2 Just May Be the Coolest Little Combination Square we have Ever Made!

Anybody with any experience in making things understands the pure joy of using a tool sized for the task at hand. Using a 12” combination square for making small boxes is just as awkward as using a small 6” square for timber framing.

Our new CS-6v2 Combination Square is the perfect size for most mortise work and a host of projects where a small square is the only tool that makes sense. Accurate to within 0.002” over the fully extended blade, we are certain this little square will not only bring a smile to your face each time you use it, but it will also inspire you to elevate your craftsmanship skills. The CS-6v2 functions as a square, miter square, depth gage, and a marking gage.

The 6" blade uses only 32nd and 16th graduations on opposite edges. This feature lets you flip the square from left to right and still use the same measurement system. This is an incredible improvement and will create fewer mistakes.

The design of the CS-6v2 mirrors that of the CS-12v2. With long, sexy brass legs, and an easy to read blade, capped by two black aluminum cheeks that visually isolates and accentuates the lock knob, this square is simply stunning.

A challenge to each and every one of you…

We made a brass version available for those of you who wanted to try your hand at making a truly unique, one-of-a-kind square by infilling the “V” grooves with a material of your choice. A small piece of scrap rosewood is a logical choice, but so are other options, including stone, acrylic, and a myriad of other wood options. Complete instructions will accompany the tool, but briefly, you epoxy the corner of your stock in the handle, and dress the end and the faces on a belt or disc sander or with files. It literally is that easy. AND, you can also infill the stainless version (ebony would look great) similarly if you choose.
